Orb and Field

A skin is a whole look for your dashboards. Both skins draw the same entities from the same Home Assistant data, and the bundle carries both, so trying the other one is just another dashboard.

The dashboards below are live, running on a demo house: press, slide and scroll them as you would on a phone or a wall tablet. They follow this site’s theme, so switch it to see each skin in light and dark.

Soft, rounded and made to read at a glance. Each card has a round button for its main action. Lights, climate and covers get a slider or stepper beside it, and readings show a big figure. The yellow accent shows what is on, and a dashed outline means a device is unavailable. Tap a card’s name, or press and hold its button, to open more detail in a sheet. Orb also joins related cards into one, like a nursery’s sound machine, night light and white noise.

A hardware panel. Each module has a key you press, a fader you slide and an always-dark screen you read, with printed labels in capitals. A small orange mark shows what a control sets. Field comes in two finishes, light grey Alloy and Black, and opens detail in a panel from the module’s name.

Both skins have cards for lights, climate, covers, toggles (switches and input_boolean modes), sensors, the weather, alarm panels, locks, humidifiers, fans, sound machines, Owlet socks and guest Wi-Fi. An entity without a card isn’t drawn, and the layout editor tells you so. Every card in every state is in Storybook, and Warnings and alarms shows how each skin tells you something is wrong.
